Before the 1990s, most of the processes were done by hand and mail and all of it was converted to computers.     The foundation of the internet lies in the transmission of data packets. These packets encapsulate fragments of information, each bearing the source and destination IP addresses. Navigating a labyrinth network of routers and switches, packets embark on a voyage from the sender to the recipient.

    Word processors are versatile tools designed for creating and editing text-based documents. They offer a range of features including text formatting, image insertion, spell checking, and document layout. The advantages of word processors lie in their widespread use for generating letters, reports, essays, and other text-centric documents.

Web/Mobile App Critique

How do you decide which apps you will continue to use? There are several factors by which to compare them - Usability, Functionality, and Design. I evaluated my Amazon shopping app. I love the app because it’s easy to use, has many things you can do with it, although I think the design is more jam packed than necessary and feels cramped. I will go into each of these three aspects next. 

Usability

The app has never crashed on me. The Amazon app offers a user-friendly and efficient shopping experience with its intuitive interface and helpful features. Users can easily search for products using the robust search function, while personalized recommendations based on their history enhance their shopping journey. The app's one-click ordering simplifies checkout, and user reviews aid informed decisions. Wish lists and shopping carts organize items, tracking orders, estimated delivery dates, and notifications provide transparency. The barcode scanner facilitates quick price comparisons, and customer support options are readily available. Integration with Prime membership benefits further elevates the usability of the app, making it a convenient and seamless platform for browsing, shopping, and managing orders. When you click on one product, it also lists similar items so you can compare without having to go back to the main list.

Programming Languages

       

         In an effort to make learning to code easier, fun, and geared to a younger audience, a free program called Scratch was created. The program especially helps in learning to “think” in code; meaning, to understand how to construct the sequence of events to perform the desired outcome.
